We've all heard the rhyme "April showers bring May flowers", but just what blooms in May? Follow along as we post about a new flower every day in May, some familiar, some may be new, all beautiful in their unique sort of way! A common name for this plant is Jacob's Ladder, however Jacob's ladder is a common name for a different (Polemonium caeruleum but similar) plant as well, so let's call this by it's proper name - Polemonium reptans.
This plant enjoys moist deciduous forests, rising up on weak stems to ~10 to 15in. high. Flowers range from light blue, purple, to pinkish in color. Can be found blooming April & May.
