Observations:
Asters are nearing their end
White lettuce has round fluffy seed pods.
Solomon's plume fruits are still red and plump.
Aspen leaves are brown and fallen, tree getting bare bu still some hold on.
Tupelo faintly turning, a few bold colored leaves on the ground.
Red belly hammering on trees by benches in wooded paved area.
Seems like the red bellied were gone all summer, only the past week have I seen them at the home feeders.
Lots of good size maples - Majority of trees are maples dotted with oversized oaks?
The squirrels seem to be building large nests in the oak trees with the oak leaves (something to do with the size? Tannins? bugs or lack of?
On the border where there are more hickories the squirrels are nesting there too.
Goldenrod is done blooming, now turning to fluff.
Boneset is all dark gray fluff.
Monkey flower is in seed.
Knocked a mantis off one of the last blooming aster plants.
Snakeroot finishing, starting to fluff.
Multiflora fruit ripening.
New additional parking area looks nice.
Bittersweet is beginning to fruit - still in yellow casing.
Hickory leaves are starting to turn yellow, all others are still very green.

~Cat tails in fall hold the memory of summer, listen closely and you can almost hear the reading blackbird calling from the reeds~
Heavy chipmunk chuts echo through the woods.
Goldfinches in winter plumage.
Mockingbird hopping around.

Sun is trying to shine but the clouds are far too thick.
Along the path just before the overlook there are earth toned spots. Looking closer-the pores of the pavement are filling with moss. This is only where the canopy has opened.
Juncos along the path!
Frozen pond with rabbit tracks (and a slipping rabbit slide track).
2 new bat houses!
Japanese honeysuckle vine is still green.
