Not to be confused with the common white clover or the hearty red clover found in fields, the alsike clover can be differentiated by the lack of white chevron patter on its leaves that the other two have. Brought to America in the late 1800s this clover is cultivated as a forage crop and has since escaped and can be found along roadsides throughout most of the US.
